Presenting AI Talkmaster

Introducing AI Talkmaster, a system for creating engaging conversations, debates, and theatre plays in OpenSimulator by using AI tools for personality capture and simulation of agents or AI bots in text and audio, in interaction with human actors or a human moderator.

In the session I will present AI Talkmaster, an open-source framework for creating engaging conversations with AI characters in OpenSimulator.

AI Talkmaster generates text dialogues for non-player characters (NPCs) in interaction with human actors or a human moderator, based on character descriptions and the conversation history. These dialogues are the result of AI-driven personality capture and simulation of agents or AI bots. The generated messages are also available as audio streams for use as parcel audio.

I will explain the functionality of AI Talkmaster for creators in the OpenSimulator worlds. I will also describe the technology behind AI Talkmaster and how instances can be hosted using open-source tools (e.g. Ollama) or paid large language models (e.g. OpenAI).
Finally, I will present a demo of AI Talkmaster. This stream shows a fictitious conversation between Vladimir, Estragon, and a moderator on stage.
