SUMMARY:George’s Dock, Liverpool: reimagining a late Victorian transport hub
DESCRIPTION:In the late nineteenth century Liverpool’s George’s Dock was the setting for a complex and innovative transport system managing the movement of both cargo and passengers on both local and international routes. In addition to river-based traffic it encompassed three railway systems above and below as well as on the ground. This is being recreated in OpenSim based on contemporary records and images and the presentation will review progress to date.\n
