We use several social media services to publicize and communicate with the public about the conference. All messages posted to social media sites should contain information directly from communications posted to the main blog website (http://conference.opensimulator.org/2013) and should always refer back to the specific post for more information.
Friending Policy
Our goal is to foster community among OpenSimulator users and those who attend the conference. As such, we generally return friendship requests on social media sites, provided the account is obviously a person or business associated with OpenSimulator. Beware of spammers and other businesses who may seek to use our networks to promote their own agenda, however, and ignore requests that are clearly not genuine users or businesses related to OpenSimulator.

Blog posts are NOT posted automatically to Facebook. After a post has been made to the website, the person responsible must manually compose a message about the new blog post. Generally we copy over the title of the post and perhaps the first paragraph and then include a link for Facebook users to read the full post on the site.
